Only a few  days past, the Catholic POPE of ROME  was a Guest  VISITOR   ON  Cuba  -where FIDEL CASTRO   , the great  Atheist and the communist  was the  as 'LORDL.

Both were  OCTOGENARIAN , the pope got a grand reception and 'gift too ( ? good Friday as a Holiday in Cuba......One thing  I remember now :
F. Castro asked  the POPEone blunt Question  ;
 - 'What do you do ? ( ? profession )...........................................
Don't remember his reply. ... Was it  - " Promising   REDEMPTION " ?

Of course  the fate of BRUNO  in earlier period was not discussed, perhaps !

I think the days of Introspection and creative thinking are now over,  -in the modern 'Electronic  Universe ' .
My expeience informs me that  8o percent of modern social mind , both urban  and rural, is swallowed up by modern Electronic Divices like Cellphone  ,DVD, I-Phone along with  TV etc. The  News paper or Radio are, now , even down-graded.
People , now, have less time to think for themselves ; while 80 % of their waking -hours  are filled up with injected  and synthetic  'news-game'  and Commercial Entertaining world throgh Media  Magic .

Simple   Questions :

Was Swami Vivekananda ( alias Narendranath Datta ) , a  sub-castt ,-  SUDRA  or Kayastha   and-----

 Mr. X . Chakravorty, the  Cloth-Merchant a  High cast  Brahmin ??

"Your religion and Cast  are the way  you  live  and  not  the   'Seal'  or  'Stamp'  on your  Horoscope " .  --- HGT--

While  a Medical student  (1949---'55 ), I learnt that  Syphilis is a 'ROYAL  Disease' and a gift of Western Civilisation.

Today in  21st Century , it  is  said that kissing  is another social bad -habit practised openly and Globally  [introduced by  Western world ] and  big  cause of so many contact  diseases, including AIDS.

Then,---  now it is told that  even Hand-shakes of  'advanced West'  are dangerous source for viral  spread and medical Science advocates  'Elbow-greeting ' instead of hand -shake - civility.

What great revelations of Western gifts !

Really, in any crowd or gathering only 5 to 10 percent or less are real  appreciator of the  subject of talk or 'show' while  rest of the visitors or mass or only packing effects or 'filling the gaps'.

Name , fame  and  popularity are , really , synthetic  soap-buble (inflated /plastic)  soceo-psychic  Industrial  and marketable  products  like  tranquilisers or  profitable  commodities ,-in modern civilisation.

Democracy  Vs  Communism

Democracy is a progressive evolutionary process.
As such , there is no 100 percent Democratic govt, in the World.
Otherwise, democracy is the highest form of scocio-political Institution where, every one or social unit have full control on his or its moral values and executes it without ,even, the fear of law or Police.
G.B.S  rightly said  that people are law-abiding , -so long there is police(with a gun).
In True democracy , one disciplines him-self or herself , even without Police or I.P.C.

Also Communism is the highest form of INDUCED  Scocio-economic Structure ( forced from outside,-unlike democratic spirit).
In true Communism , the system endeavours to make every one make equally self-sufficient and solvent ( not equally poor).
Up till now there is no ideal communist -type Govt, any where on the Globe. There are only socialistic types, here and there.
